The poor man's physician, or the receipts of the famous John Moncrief of Tippermalloch: being a choice collection of simple and easy remedies for most distempers. Very useful for all persons, especially those of a purer condition.  The second edotion, very much enlarged and corrected from the author’s original copy. To which is added, the method of curing the small pox and scurvy, by the eminent Dr. Archibald Pitcairn, Εδιμβούργο 1716.

Βιβλίο πρακτικής θα μπορούσαμε να πούμε ιατρικής με συγγραφέα τον John Moncrief, φαρμακοποιό (apothecary) το οποίο απευθύνεται στο κοινό το οποίο λόγω της επιτυχίας της πρώτης έκδοσης το 1712, έκανε και την παρούσα δεύτερη έκδοση. Στις παθήσεις στις οποίες προτείνει και την θεραπεία τους η οποία κατά το πλείστο είναι με διάφορα φυτικά σκευάσματα, περιλαμβάνονται παθήσεις των δοντιών, των ούλων, της γλώσσας, των γνάθων, της υπερώας και του λάρυγγα.
